Trust in Yellow will be holding a food collection at the last two home mtches of the season to help the Southport Soup Kitchen.
The Trust has held previous collections at the end of last season and ahead of the festive period, and has been delighted with the response from supporters.
The Soup Kitchen is a very worthy cause which provides food and warmth to the local homeless population as well as distributing meals and hampers to vulnerable people within the Southport community.
Donations can be made at either of the last two home matches at the Trust in Yellow office against Forest Green Rovers on Bank Holiday Monday, April 17, and Lincoln City on Saturday April 29.
How can I help?....
The Soup Kitchen is again looking for two types of donation.
1) Weekly at the Soup Kitchen they need tea, coffee, biscuits, cakes, sugar, and condiments such as ketchup or brown sauce.
2) For the families they support they need basics to create meals, such as pasta, sauces, tins of vegetables, soup, tins of meat or pies, butter/spread, cake or biscuits.
Any items however, large or small will be very welcome.
So get looking in those cupboards. Donations will be accepted in the Trust office at either of the final two home games.

Trust In Yellow are delighted that Tuesday's meeting was so well attended and also attracted so much response from other supporters who couldn't be there.
There was a clear message from the meeting that the majority of supporters felt the time had come for major changes in the way the club is run.
Over the next week The Trust Board will be organising the process of using its shareholding and those of other sympathetic supporters to make a legal request for the club to call a meeting of shareholders.
The Board will also be writing an open letter to the club outlining the points made at the meeting and investigating other suggested lines of action.
Our coach to Sutton United on Saturday is definitely running.
There are still seats available and thanks to the sponsorship of Chaiman Charlie Clapham the prices are very reasonable.
Only £15 each for members is an excellent price. The fare for non-members is £17. The coach leaves the Merseyrail Community Stadium at 7.30am.
Please book by texting Bill Sloan on 07952056385.
Statement from the Board of Trust In Yellow
The Board of Trust in Yellow realises that it does not speak for ALL members and supporters and feel it is essential that all Southport FC Supporters including those who have drifted away in recent years are able to put forward their views on how we can help get the Club moving in the right direction once again.
As a result we have arranged an Open Meeting on:
7-30pm on Tuesday, 11th April at the Southport Railway Club on Sussex Road
THIS MEETING IS OPEN TO ALL SUPPORTERS
Trust members and non-members, are welcome to attend and we want to see as many fans there as possible who care about the future of Football in this Town..
The object of the meeting will be to discuss:
1. Ideas for the future strategy and direction of the club.
2. How supporter involvement in the club could be improved and what positive benefits this would bring.
The meeting will be Chaired by Martin Robinson from the Trust and after brief opening statements by Trust Vice- Chair Noel Warham and the founder of Trust In Yellow Jonathan O’Byrne, it will be open to all present to add to the debate.
The only condition is that contributions should be constructive and not contain derogatory comments.
We appreciate that not all supporters will be able to attend the meeting and so welcome comments sent in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org
We really do want this consultation to be with as wide a range of supporters as possible and we welcome all views and opinions.
These contributions will also be considered when an open letter is written to the Club Board after the meeting.
