Minutes Of Meeting with Southport Football Club - 14/07/07

One of Trust in Yellows' major objectives from the outset has been to represent supporters to the club's board of directors. Members, supporters, committee members and the board of directors have all acknowledged the need to formally underpin the working relationship of the two bodies. Having campaigned supporters via the local media and on the trustinyellow.com website - TIY produced an agenda and a series of questions to put to the board, the answers are presented below.

The meeting was held on July 14th 2007 in the Vice Presidents Bar - Grandstand Club, Haig Avenue.

Minutes :

Grandstand Bar

Trust in Yellow acknowledged the developments made by the club in respect of the painting of the bar, the CCTV cameras which are in the process of being installed and the new projector. It was also conveyed that "Grandstand Gold" had been well received by supporters.
TIY asked if the club wished to make further progress and if so what plans existed?

Finances – balances currently stand at £9488.59. There are no outstanding bills to pay and membership renewals are starting to come through.
Renewals – all those with e- mail addresses have been notified that their renewals are due. We have received a few renewals already and volunteers were requested to help with handing out the packs. There has been a positive response and we currently have 348 members.

Update on finances – bank account stands at £9306 with a bill for £206 for merchandise to come out. We have a winner as an agent of the goalden lottery and the trust earn £5 commission.
Trust building – work has been continuing on the trust building. A sliding window is still needed to be sourced (Dan and Paul G to follow up). The stud wall is up, the door is in, the counter is in, the plastering has been done and the electrics checked although some plugs need to be done. An electric sander has been requested for the counter. Work should be completed in time for the new season.

Phil advised that the bank balance currently stands at £8555 of which £345 must be retained as share capital and £500 as deposits for the book. Thus the trust has approximately £7500 available for expenditure.
The auction raised around £1400 and the supporters match around £800.

Finances were advised as having surpassed £6500. The raffle for the corporate tickets raised £522 and membership increased to 341 including our youngest member Chloe Alcott and a new corporate member in Southport GB.

Auction night – Rob has approximately 30 items for auction including Carl Baker’s boots from his England appearance.
Jon is arranging an auctioneer for the evening and we are just waiting for confirmation.
Paul I has arranged a quiz, £1 for small teams, prizes to be arranged.
