END OF SEASON PRESENTATION

Following yesterday’s final home match of the season against Grimsby Town, Trust in Yellow hosted the annual end-of-season awards.

It was great to see the Grandstand Bar full and the Trust would like to thank all the fans who attended.

The presentation photos can be viewed in the slideshow with details of the awards below.

Luke Foster picked up the club’s Player of the Season award as voted for by supporters. Richard Brodie finished second in the voting and Luke George third.

The Phil Carder Goal of the Season was won by John Marsden for his fantastic strike in the 3-3 draw against Lincoln City.

Every season, the award for the best goal is run by the Trust and voted for by supporters. The award has been renamed from this season in memory of Phil, the Trust’s treasurer, who sadly passed away in January, and was presented by Phil’s partner, Doreen, and his sister, Janet.

Doreen and Janet also received the Trust’s Fan of the Season, which was won by Phil.

With 12 league goals, Richard Brodie picked up the club’s Top Goalscorer award, presented by Martin Robinson. He also received the Champion Newspapers Player of the Season from Ron Ellis.

The Players’ Player of the Season was won by Paul Smith. Luke George was also made an honorary member of the Trust for his support and involvement in the recent Shave It or Save It fundraiser and was presented with his membership certificate.
