Voting For Reserve Team

Dear Member

The Trust is asking its members to vote in favour of the proposition to help fund the reserve team for next season.

The Trust has in the past attempted to get the reserves going again with the attempted purchase of a minibus.  Sadly, this did not work out and we went without a reserve side, but it has always been one of the aims of the Trust to get a reserve side.  This time it looks like we can actually do it if the members vote in favour of the proposition.

The amount the Trust has been asked to contribute is a maximum of £12,000.  The actual running cost are more than this.  The actual amount the Trust contributes may be less than this depending on the amount of sponsorship money that can be obtained.

In return, the Trust will receive shares in the football club to the value of their contribution.  Free admission to reserve team games will be given to all Trust members on production of their membership card.

This commitment from the Trust is for the first season only to get the reserves up and running.

The benefits from a reserve side are obvious, but to reiterate, youth players get a chance to progress, squad players get a game to keep match fit and players coming back from injury can get up to speed again.

Ultimately, it is you, the members, who will decide.  The Trust board would urge all members to vote in favour of this and also to do it as soon as possible.
