WORLD CUP SWEEPSTAKE PRESENTATION

Before kick-off at Saturday’s opening match against Forest Green Rovers, a presentation was made by Trust in Yellow to supporter John Dennis as the winner of this summer’s World Cup Sweepstake.

Having been paired with Germany in a draw made by Southport manager Martin Foyle ahead of the tournament, John claimed the £100 cash prize after his country emerged victorious in Brazil.

Thanks to John and the other 31 fans who entered the sweepstake during the summer.

John was presented with his prize by Trust membership secretary Bill Sloan ahead of the weekend’s match.

John has kindly donated his winnings to the Liverpool Women’s Charity. More details on the charity can be found here.

SUPPORT THE TRUST - MAKE A PLEDGE!

TRUST IN YELLOW MEMBERSHIPS

Ahead of the coming season, Trust in Yellow is looking to recruit new members and renew existing memberships.

About to enter a ninth season since forming in 2006, the Trust continues to work on behalf of Southport supporters and represent the interests of fans and members alike.

From encouraging greater supporter-involvement by arranging events such as the recent Meet the Manager with Martin Foyle, the Trust also meets to discuss issues with representatives from the club’s board and has a growing involvement in the community.

In every season since it was formed, the Trust has run coach travel to the majority of Southport’s away matches. The Trust will provide travel to every match where there is enough demand, and having taken steps to arrange a smaller coach when needed, fans should again be able to travel to most away games this campaign.

Last season, the Trust sponsored the club’s primary schools coaching initiative, providing local children with coaching from first-team players as part of a commitment to the community.

And with the campaign to get new floodlights progressing, the Trust is looking forward to pursuing new ideas and fresh initiatives as the season develops.

Members are the very fabric of the Trust and memberships are essential to ensuring the Trust continues to run successfully.

In order to give more fans the chance to discuss what the Trust does, there will be a table set up outside the Jack Carr end of the ground ahead of the opening match of the season against Forest Green Rovers.

So if want to talk about Trust matters or have any suggestions about the Trust going forward, please come and visit the table.

A leaflet containing the latest monthly members’ newsletter will also be distributed, providing fans with more information about what the Trust does. The leaflet is available to download HERE.

A range of memberships are available and run for 12 months. An adult membership costs £10, under 16s are £5, a family is £20 and a corporate membership is £100.

Membership forms will be available from the table on Saturday, or fans can join online HERE.

And if you’re not at the Forest Green game, the Trust office, located next to the club shop, is open at every home game, so please come and see us.
