Who is your Fan of the Season?

Following the success in previous years, Trust in Yellow is pleased to say that it is again running a Fan of the Season competition.

We want to recognise a supporter who has made that special extra effort to give loyal support to the players and team this season.

So this is not just about those fantastic people who give hours of their time in voluntary work for the club and we are sure the club has ways of recognising their efforts.

Our Fan of the Season competition is for any supporter who has gone that extra mile this season in following and supporting their team.

Do you know someone who you think has shown a special passion for the club? Is there someone within the Southport FC fan community who is an unsung hero deserving recognition?

If you know such a person then let us know. Email fans@trustinyellow.com, telling us in no more than 150 words why you think he or she should win this award.

Alternatively you can hand in your nomination at the Trust office.

The closing date is Saturday April 16.

Once we have received all the entries the Trust board will decide on the winner who will receive their trophy at the end of season presentation evening when the various players’ awards are given out.

Trust in Yellow Community Food Partnership

Southport Soup Kitchen - Saturday 16th April 2016

One of the main goals of any supporters’ trust is to be fully involved in the local community.

After a request from a Trust in Yellow member, it was decided that a great way of doing this would be by organising a collection for the Southport Soup Kitchen which is based on London Street in the town centre.

This very worthy cause provides food and warmth to the local homeless population as well as distributing meals and hampers to vulnerable people within the Southport Community.

On Saturday April 16 at the match against Lincoln City, the Trust will be co-ordinating a collection of any donations of food that you may have spare in your cupboards.

There will be a couple of collection points at the turnstiles or you can just bring your donations directly to the Trust office.

How can I help?....

The Soup Kitchen is looking for two types of donation.

1) Weekly at the Soup Kitchen they need tea, coffee, biscuits, cakes, sugar, and condiments such as ketchup or brown sauce.

2) For the families they support they need basics to create meals, such as pasta, sauces, tins of vegetables, soup, tins of meat or pies, and fresh fruit, butter/spread, cake or biscuits.

Any items however, large or small will be very welcome. So get looking in those cupboards.

Donations will be accepted in the Trust office at all matches between now and the Lincoln game.
