END OF SEASON TRAVEL OFFER

Trust in Yellow is giving fans the chance to travel to Southport’s final two away games of the season for a special offer price.

Seats are available on the Trust’s coaches to Grimsby Town and Forest Green Rovers for a one-off price of £33.

With both opponents still in contention for promotion, it promises to be an exciting end the Sandgrounders’ season.

The Grimsby coach departs the Merseyrail Community Stadium, Haig Avenue, at 10am on Saturday 6 April, with the Forest Green coach leaving at 9.30am a week later.

As usual, under 16s can travel for a third of the advertised price if accompanied by an adult, which is just £11.

To book, phone Alan Scarisbrick on 07980911693 or visit the Trust office at one of the upcoming home matches.

LEDSHAM WINS FEBRUARY AWARD

Trust in Yellow members have voted midfielder Karl Ledsham their Player of the Month for February.

It is the second time Ledsham has picked up the award this season, having also come out on top in the Trust's poll in December.

The 25-year-old was presented with his award by Trust member Kelsey Pye ahead of the match against Cambridge United on Tuesday night.

Ledsham scored twice during February, with both goals coming in the 5-2 win over Barrow, including a fine volley to take his tally for the season to ten.

Trust members will next have the chance to vote in March’s award at the end of the month.

EARL DAVIS SAYS THANK YOU

"I can't thank everybody involved on Saturday enough for the great reception I received. (Especially as I was a bit apprehensive about coming back).

"The fans that I met in person were all really nice to me and the usual suspects in the stands were great with the songs too.

"There aren't many football clubs I'd feel 100% safe taking my family to and leaving them in the stands but the SFC fans were very welcoming to them to so I thank you for that too.

"I loved my time at the club (apart from my performance against Fleetwood at home last season and the relegation both of which will haunt me for life ha) and Saturday was the perfect end, so last but not least, thank you to the TIY for making it happen.

"I've assured them I'll do what I can to help them in the future.

"Thanks a lot. All the best Earl & family"

EARL DAVIS PRESENTATION AND PHOTOS

Earl Davis was given a hero’s welcome as Southport supporters paid tribute to the long-serving defender on Saturday.

Earl, who became a crowd favourite during his seven seasons with the Sandgrounders, received a presentation from Trust in Yellow at the match against Dartford.

Earl left the club at the start of the season due to injury having made more than 230 appearances.

After meeting supporters ahead of kick-off, Earl was presented with a memento and collection of photographs by the Trust to recognise his achievements during his Southport career. He also becomes an honorary member of the Trust.

Having first joined the Sandgrounders in 2003, Earl’s time with the club spanned three spells and included two Conference North championships.

Thanks to Trust board members Colin Aindow, Rob and Julia Urwin for arranging the presentation. Thanks also to Ron Ellis for providing the track Duke of Earl, which was played during the presentation.
