Danny Hattersley has won the Trust in Yellow Supporters’ Player of the Month for October.

Hattersley scored three goals during the month, including two in the FA Cup win against Marske United, as well as helping to inspire a memorable comeback in the 2-2 draw at Macclesfield Town.

Unfortunately, Danny was unavailable to collect his award, so manager Alan Wright picked up the prize on his behalf at the Trust’s Race Night from compere Tony Adams.

Hattersley, who has won lots of praise this season for his workrate in leading the forward line, edged out Scott Brown by just six votes to win the fans’ award. Hattersley is the second winner of the Trust award this season, after goalkeeper Danny Hurst claimed the prize for August / September.

Supporters will be able to vote in November’s award at the end of the month, with the presentation again being made by a Trust member who votes for the winning player.
