Following on from the enforced retirement of Kevin Lee through injury, Liam Watson wishes to appoint Kevin Lee as part of his backroom staff.

An independent group of supporters will be fund raising throughout the course of the season to raise £3,800. The £3,800 will pay to keep Kevin, a highly influential part of the 2009/10 Blue Square North Championship side and a key component of the clubs rise to prominence in the Blue Square Bet Premier as part of the backroom staff throughout the course of the season.

Coach Travel To Alfreton & Cambridge

Bookings are now being taken for the first two away matches of the season at Alfreton and Cambridge. The coach to Alfreton will depart Haig Avenue at 3.30pm and the fare for members is £16 in advance and £19 on the day. The coach to Cambridge departs Haig Avenue at 9.00am with the fare for members being £29 on the day or £32 in advance. To book contact Alan Scarisbrick on 07980 911693 or call into the Trust office at one of the upcoming home games. A discount will apply if there are more than 30 bookings for either of the above trips. The Trust has the right to cancel any coaches should there be insufficient bookings.

Cricket match. Sunday, 22nd July

The weather forecast is much brighter for Sunday so it should be a good day for the annual cricket match between a Liam Watson X1 and a Supporters X1 which is at The Rookery with a 2pm start.

There are still a couple of places available  in the supporters team. If you would like to take part contact team manager Phil Carder either by e-mail to phil.carder@googlemail.com or phone 07871-991474.

We would like to see as many spectators as possible for what is always an enjoyable afternoon.

PREDICT 25: NEW SEASON COMPETITION

Trust In Yellow will be running another prediction competition this coming season but it will be different to the last five seasons.

This time supporters will be asked to predict the outcome of 25 events in the season from a range of areas such as who will win the Premiership etc etc.

Entry forms are available by downloading the form using the link at the bottom of this article. Alternatively, you can contact Rob Urwin via e-mail at programme@southportfc.net Entry costs just £1 and the winner will receive a 50/50 split of the prize pool.

The Closing date for entries is 3pm on Saturday August 11th. Hard copy entry forms will be available at all our friendlies and entries can either be mailed to Rob or handed in to the Club Shop.

Have a Go and get your friends and colleagues to enter as well, the more that enter the bigger the prize pool.
